John Devney
John Devney was in the ground crew of the 756 the Bomb Squadron. He was resonsible for most if not all, the Nose Art designs for the entire 459th Bomb Group fleet of B-24 Liberators. John has also been very active in the 459th B G Association for many years. He Has been Editor of the Association`s Pathfinder Newsletter for number of years. He also handled the procurement and sale of 459th BGA items such as T-shirts, Caps Pins, Patches, etc. at the BGA Reunion Meetings
Cpl JOHN DEVNEY was assigned or attached to the 459th Bombardment Group on 16 June 1944 according to a 27 October 1944 dated document subject roster of personnel sent to the commanding general NATOUSA
S/Sgt John F Devney was assigned to the 459th BG 756th Squadron.
