Robert receiving Distinguished Flying Cross from Col. Henry K. Mooney My tour was from 1/1/45 to war's end. I flew 28 sorties, was credited with 44 missions. I flew Lead Pilot the last 8-10 missions. I recieved the DFC. We took damage on missions but managed to get home each time. No Purple Heart.
