Charles Frederick Hicks April 1, 1922 February 3, 2011 Resident of Concord
Charles Frederick Hicks, a native of Bakersfield, CA, passed away February 3, 2011 in Concord, CA at age 88. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Leota Margaret Hicks; Daughters, Ruth Ann Caldwell, Ceil Fay Meyers and Sarah Louise Kuhn; Son, Hal Hicks; Parents, Cecil Fay Hicks and Avis Kathryn Newton Hicks; Sisters, Patricia Huff, Jeanne Cameron and Marilyn Muldoon and a brother, David Hicks. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He retired as an engineer for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph in 1983. He served in the 15th Air Force 459th Bomb Group. He belonged to the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, San Francisco Branch. He enjoyed rowing for the South End Club in San Francisco and gardening. Memorial services will be held 1 pm, February 16, 2011 at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon.
