Adam Ohl
Lt Adam Ohl served, probably as a pilot, in the 759th BS during the early part of the 459 Bomb Group`s missions. He had the distinction of flying on 459 BG`s Mission # 26, April 23,1944, the famous PERFECT BOMBING MISSION!!! where the 459 Bomb Group led the 304 Bomb Wing to bomb the ME 109 Aircraft Factory and aircraft at Bad Voslau, Austria and put that factory out of business for the rest of the war.The 459 BG received a Unit Citation for their excellent bombing on that mission. He received the DFC ,Air Medal with clusters and the Purple Heart.
Col Ohl stayed in the Air Force and retired as a Lt Col. He is still living at the age of 88.
