Henry Reibold
Henry P. Reibold, 87, of Lebanon, Ill., born Jan. 26, 1922, died Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at the Faith Care Center in Highland, Ill. Mr. Reibold was a veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theatre in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He retired from Scott AFB, where he had worked as an aircraft mechanic for 38 years. He was a former member and past president of the St. Clair Horseman of St. Clair County organization, and a lifetime member of the 459th Bomb Group organization of World War II veterans. He also served for eight years as township supervisor for the Lebanon Township in recent years. Henry loved his horses, and will be remembered by many in the area for his appearances, in full American Indian regalia, in the Homecoming Parade of St. Jacob, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Charles and Mary Magdalene, nee Seigel, Reibold; first wife, Marjorie, nee Stanley, Reibold. Surviving are his son, William "Bill" (Mary) Reibold of Lebanon, Ill.; two grandsons, Randy W. (Linda) Reibold of Trenton, Ill., and Rodney R. (Laura) Reibold of Robinson, Ill.; five great-grandchildren, Brad Reibold and Ryan Reibold, both of Trenton, Ill., Andy, Alex and Kayla Reibold, all of Robinson, Ill.; and his longtime companion and friend, Marilyn McLaughlin of St. Jacob, Ill. Memorials may be made to Faith Care Center in Highland, Ill., or the St. Jacob American Legion.
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at Meyer Funeral Home in Lebanon, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Kniepkamp officiating. Interment in College Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, Ill.
