Cyril Rombach
Lt. Cyril Rombach 2nd Lt Cyril Rombach served in the 757 Bomb Squadron as a Navigator at the Giulia Field up to 1945. Cyril`s pilot was Ted Ringwald, the radio operator was Earl porter, flight engineer was Jerry Tavolott.
Cyril flew 459 B G Mission #219 3/25/45 to bomb the tank and munition factory at Prague, Czechoslovakia. this mission is written up in the 459 BG History Book " Coffee Tower " on pages 155-56.

Lt Rombach was a Navigator on Pilot Ted Ringwald`s crew and flew 459th Bomb Group Mission # 219 to bomb the Skoda Arms Works Factory at Prague, Czechoslavakia on 3/25/45. The 459th Bomb Group History Book " Coffee Tower " has an account of this mission on Page 155 of this book. Among other things that happened that day, Lt Rombach`s crew have to use parachutes from the waist gunners position to stop their aircraft after the hydraulic system was shot out.
Cadet Cyril Rombach
Lt Cyril Rombach was awarded the Air Medal for aerial combat missions against the enemy. Was entitled to wear the Europe Africa Middle East Campaign medal and ribbon for his assignment in Italy and the campaigns of the 15th AF, 459th BG. While assigned to the 459th BG, the Group was awarded a Presidential Unit Citation (PUC).
