Lt Donald Stevenson and his Co- Pilot managed to bring their 759 BS B-24 " Bet`s Bet" from North Italy to Corsica and land safely, bringing all the crew but the tail gunner, safely to a U S B-25 base after another 759 BS B-24, piloted by Lt. R. D. Rody, collided with the tail of Stevenson`s ship which crashed, killing all aboard
