Sgt Thomas Edward Onstott was assigned to the 459th BG 758th Squadron.

Thomas Onstott received his training at Tyndall Field, Florida. He was stationed at a base near Cerignola, Italy toward the end of the war with the 758th Bomb Squadron of the 459th Bomb Group. Bombing missions ceased just after, or right before, he arrived in Italy and Victory in Europe was declared. He told of flying cargo missions (surplus food) to an English base in Trieste, Yugoslavia before he returning home on a freighter from Naples. He was discharged November 1st, 1945. Thomas Edward Onstott died in April, 2004.
