Joseph W Klim - 757th SquadronMy father, Joseph W Klim was nose gunner of the "Miss Carraige", from the 757th Bomb Squadron. His active duty was from Dec. 26th 1944 until April 26th, 45. He flew 30 missions, 24 with his crew and an additional 6 as bombardier with other crews. The crews pilot was Clayton Stapleton Elwood, "Stapps", from Fairfield Conn. My Dad had a lot of respect for him and his abilities as a pilot. He saved them on several occasions. I also have the names of all his other crewmembers, as well as his list of missions, dates, targets and countries, along with total flight times. If anyone has any other info, I would like to share info. Respectfully, Mike Klim, 2417 Parkland Dr. Florence, SC 29501 [email protected] |
