S/Sgt. Robert R. De Jongh - English

Hello, June 6, 2008, the day of the commemoration of D-Day, I visited the American Military Cemetery of Colleville-sur-Mer (literally "Colleville on the Sea") in Normandy in France. In the graveyard, on a post, is written the following name: Robert R. DE JONGH. This last name took my attention because it is the same as my grandmother's maiden name, who was an American. I informed myself (did some research) on Robert R. DE JONGH and learned that he was part of the 758th Bomber Squadron, 459th Bomber Group, Heavy, in the role of Staff Sergeant, and died July 24, 1944. I then researched your site. And, save for an error on my part, I can report that his name does not appear in the list of names of those who were part of the 758th Bomber Squadron, 459th Bomber Group, Heavy. It's up to you to indicate the memory of this man who died in order to liberate France. I thank you in advance for your response.
